OpenAI has reached a new deal with Microsoft that could set the stage for a future public offering. In a move to combat corruption, Albania has appointed what it claims is the world's first AI-generated government minister to oversee public tenders. Meanwhile, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff reported that the company cut 4,000 jobs after AI began handling half of its customer interactions.
In other news, the music industry is reportedly "broken," and a new app is being developed to address the issue. Malaysia is restricting data center growth, which could complicate China's access to AI chips. On the tech side, OpenAI has enabled new connectors in ChatGPT, and Google introduced a new AI system to automate code generation for scientific research.
