Automation, digital transformation, and their influences on sustainable manufacturing and business practices have always existed.

For thirty years, cloud computing, horizontal and vertical integration, data communication, and the internet have continuously contributed to sustainable manufacturing by decentralizing supply chains.

Innovations in digital transformation, like big data and predictive analyses, have widely helped optimize sustainable manufacturing by predicting customer demands and minimizing overproduction or underproduction.

In contrast, in recent months, there has been a great deal of excitement and conjecture around the potential applications of large language models (LLMs), including ChatGPT from OpenAI, Bard from Google, Claude from Anthropic, LLaMA from Meta, and GPT4 most recently.

So far, we still need to understand how they can impact business evolution and lead to better decisions.
